Construction begins on the Ben Hogan Learning Center
Well, we are off and running! Construction officially began on the Ben Hogan Learning Center March 24th. Weather permitting; we anticipate construction to take approximately six to seven months. When complete, the Ben Hogan Learning Center will provide a state of the art facility for the over 15,000 kids that participate in The First Tee of Fort Worth. That is right, last year we had over 15,000 kids participate in one or more First Tee classes or clinics.
The $1.5 million dollar Ben Hogan Learning Center is a facility of over 5,800 square feet. The Learning Center will be built in support of The First Tee of Fort Worth’s golf & youth character education programs and will include classrooms, computer laboratory, a library, hitting bays, club repair room, youth club room and a museum area that celebrates the legacy of Mr. Hogan and the history of golf in Fort Worth.
